Daddy's Truck

My truck is over twenty years old, has over 273,000 miles on the odometer, has a faded and rusted exterior, missing trim, missing wheel covers, multiple dents from collisions with deer, no air conditioner, no heat, no CD or radio, no interior lights, temperamental and wobbling lights, interior water leaks, an oil leak, and many other problems that escape me at the moment... but nonetheless, it runs. And Elijah loves it.

When we run out of juice, and we tell him, "All gone." He informs us, "Go ge mo ju-ece in Daddy's Tuck."

When we asked him the other day if we wanted to go pick apples in Gran-Mommy's car, he shook his head and said, "No. Go ge apples in Daddy's Tuck."

And this morning he wanted to "Go pay ah pah, ansee hoesee in Daddy's Tuck." (Go play at the park and see the horsey in Daddy's Truck)

Daddy's Truck. It might as well be a brand new sports car with as popular as it is. What can I say, the boy's got good taste. Hmmm... perhaps if I keep it around I won't have to buy him a car when he gets older.
