Well, last night was an interesting night. My parents came and watched the kids and were there when Elijah came home so Stephanie could get out and run some errands. She came up to have lunch with me at Bob's, then she headed back home. It was good timing too, because as she was getting stuff out of the car, my dad collapsed and they called 911. The Ambulance came and my dad and mom rode the Ambulance to St. Mary's. They thought it was a stroke, but after all their tests, they didn't find anything wrong (always reassuring when they can give you absolutely no answers). But as the ambulance left, Elijah sat out in the garage and cried.
Once I got home, we drove into town, took the kids to eat at Chick-fil-A and then took my mom some dinner and to see my dad. All hospitals are a maze, and we had to wind our way around to find where he was after we parked. We would get into one elevator, and then realize it wasn't going to go where we needed to go. But as soon as we would walk in, Aubrey would immediately push the "Help" button. The operator would come on, and we would have to explain, "No, we don't need help. We have a toddler." After the second elevator and the third call for help, I figured out I need to hold that little girl's hand the whole time and stay far enough away from the buttons where she wouldn't be able to reach.
We finally found my dad's room and sat for a minute to talk. Then we prayed over him and left for home. Lord... make my dad well.
