Lego Theology

Today, as Joshua took a nap in his crib, Stephanie went to volunteer at the library, and I took a nap on the couch upstairs, Aubrey and Elijah played with Legos. After Elijah called Aubrey "stupid" and got put in time out for a while, Aubrey began her spiritual musings. "God sometimes sleeps with me.

Always looking for opportunities to teach correct theology, I said, "Well, Sweety, God is always with you."

With her hands out, she said, "But I don't see him?"

"God is Spirit," I explained. "But we see all He has made. He created the world and everything in it."

Looking down at her Legos, she asked, "Did He make this with me?"

"He made you."

Frowning, she said, "But I not made of blocks."
