Stuck in Reverse

I woke up this morning thinking my kid could walk, because apparently I had a dream in which Elijah stood up and took three steps forward before taking a tumble. Well, you will be pleased to know that our child has not skipped six months or so of development. But he has recently begun his attempts at crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and pushes off, only to find himself further from the desired destination. We keep cheering him on, especially since he's so close to getting it. But I'm pretty sure when it does click for him, we'll be wishing otherwise.
