One of Elijah's favorite activities lately, is playing with water. He loves bath time, especially with "bah-bahls;" He likes washing his hands before meals; and most of all, he likes to pull out all the empty plastic bottles out of the recycling bin, push a dining room chair up to the kitchen sink, fill up the various containers with "ah-ter", and then drink out of them. It's an activity that provides lots of entertainment.
There's a lot of money spent on research to determine what makes a good toy for kids. But it seems at this age, Elijah would rather play with everything but toys. My guess is he is not the exception... yet we parents still portion a substantial amount of cash towards toys each Christmas.
